Mark is passionate about criminal law and believes strongly that everyone has the right to an effective defence. He is committed to developing trust and understanding with his clients, informing them of their rights, and obtaining the best possible results on their behalf.

Prior to joining Karapancev Law, Mark completed his articles with a well-respected criminal defence firm where he gained valuable experience with the justice system and criminal defence work. He graduated from Western Law School where he received the Dr. Allison H. Johnson Award and focused much of his studies on criminal law. Between school years, Mark volunteered his spare time assisting a criminal defence lawyer in Toronto, and working with a non-profit organization committed to advocating for Canadians’ constitutional rights and freedoms.

Mark also holds a Master’s degree from Queen’s University where he studied political & legal theory, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Guelph where he studied political science and economics.
