Christina received her Honours Bachelor degree with a specialization in Criminology and Bioethics from the University of Toronto. She followed her undergraduate work with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom, with a focus on the sociology of criminal conduct and criminal defence. She then returned to the University of Toronto Faculty of Law where she received her Canadian law qualifications.

Prior to joining Karapancev Law, Christina was working at a boutique law firm in London, ON where she gained considerable experience in criminal law. She has since moved back to her native city of Toronto to be closer to family.

Throughout her legal studies she volunteered her time as part of the Innocence Project, working on behalf of those wrongfully convicted, as well as with the Legal Aid branch of Mind in Brighton and Hove, UK, where she advocated for those from low-income communities.

Christina completed her articles at a Bay Street Firm in Toronto. Since her call to the Ontario Bar, she has practiced exclusively in criminal law. She is proficient in all areas of criminal defence, and has appeared in all levels of court in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal. One of her main focuses is advocating for those charged with sexual and domestic offences. Christina’s outlook on cases begins from a place of empathy and humanity. She believes in ensuring that her clients understand every step of the court system and all aspects of her defence strategy. She is dedicated in advocating for the best possible outcome for her clients.

When Christina is not practicing law she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and two dogs, Paddington and Dexter. She enjoys travelling, photography and watching true crime documentaries. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Criminal Lawyer’s Association.
