ARTICLING STUDENT
Radhika Sharma received her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School after graduating Magna Cum Laude from York University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Law & Society. Throughout law school, Radhika distinguished herself academically while developing a particular interest in criminal law, criminal procedure, and the constitutional principles that form the foundation of Canada’s justice system.
Prior to joining the firm, Radhika gained extensive experience in criminal defence, assisting counsel on a broad range of matters. She has worked on files involving serious and complex criminal allegations, conducting legal research, analyzing disclosure, preparing evidence summaries, drafting legal materials, and having a hands-on role with trial preparation.
Radhika was drawn to criminal defence because of the unique and substantive responsibility entrusted to defence counsel to protect the constitutional rights of individuals. She believes the strength of Canada’s criminal justice system rests on its commitment to the presumption of innocence and the right of every person to receive effective and meaningful legal representation. Recognizing that criminal proceedings often represent one of the most difficult periods in a person’s life, Radhika is dedicated to providing sound judgement and strong advocacy at every stage of any case.
She also understands the importance of advocating for communities who are often overlooked and disproportionately impacted by the criminal justice system. Fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, Radhika is able to effectively assist clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and is committed to ensuring every client feels informed, understood, and supported throughout navigating legal procedures.
Outside of the office, Radhika enjoys travelling, following Formula One, and spending time with her friends, family, and two dogs.
